Perhaps it should be Bear Pass Crossing?

Flora beat fauna in July's running of the 24-mile Crow Pass Crossing.
Lars Flora won the race that runs from the trail head in Girdwood to the
finish line at the Eagle River Nature Center in 3 hours, 16 minutes, 49
seconds despite a 3 1/2-minute stop when he encountered a black bear on
the trail. "I started shouting at him, but he just looked at me and
kept on eating," Flora said. Above, Richard Lucu, one of about 130
runners in the race, splashed through a puddle about one mile before the
finish line. (Photo by Bob Hallinen)
