Perhaps it should be Bear Pass Crossing?

Mountain race
Flora beat fauna in July's running of the 24-mile Crow Pass Crossing. Lars Flora won the race that runs from the trail head in Girdwood to the finish line at the Eagle River Nature Center in 3 hours, 16 minutes, 49 seconds despite a 3 1/2-minute stop when he encountered a black bear on the trail. "I started shouting at him, but he just looked at me and kept on eating," Flora said.
