Miners 4, Chinooks 1

Ryan Hendrix allowed just three hits in six innings to help the Miners top the Chinooks 4-1 in Chugiak.

Paul Panaccione and Nick Senzel had two his apiece for Mat-Su.

Jonathan Popadics went 2 for 3 for the Chinooks.

Pilots 4, Oilers 1

Three Pilots pitchers held Kenai to three hits in Anchorage's 4-1 win.

After Kenai cut the lead to 2-1 in the top of the eighth, the Pilots plated two runs in the bottom of the inning to seal the victory.

Shaun Wood had two hits for the Pilots, who got two RBIs and two runs from Kevin Viers.

Panners rained out again

The Goldpanners game scheduled for Friday against San Diego was canceled due to rain, marking the third rainout in eight days for Fairbanks.
