Monday's games

Panners 5, Bucs 4

The Goldpanners plated three runs in the eighth inning to edge the Bucs 5-4 in Fairbanks.

Trailing by two runs, Vahn Bozoian cut the deficit to 4-3 with an RBI double. The game-tying and winning runs were scored on wild pitches.

Both teams were held to seven hits apiece.

Pilots 3, Miners 2

Kevin Viers' RBI double in the fifth inning lifted the Pilots past Mat-Su 3-2 in Anchorage.

Viers' hit scored Chester Pak, who also doubled.

Pilots starter Henri Faucheux allowed seven hits in eight innings to earn the win. Justin Dellinger fanned two of the four batters he faced in the ninth inning to get the save.
