In many parts of Alaska, snow came early this year, but it hasn't managed to come back. Much of the white stuff has melted, blown away with the winds or been trampled into the ground creating a nice base, but just not enough of it for all our beloved snow sports.

Regardless how hard Alaskans may be wishing for a white weekend, the National Weather Forecast is here to deliver the bad news: it will be another snowless week's end for much of the state, that is unless you happen to be in Juneau.
