Denali Park Road lotto winners announced

The National Park Service has announced the winners of the 2011 Denali Park Road lottery. The 1,600 lucky people chosen from the pool of 11,024 who entered have the chance to drive as much of the usually closed-to-the-public road as weather allows. Dates each year for the one-day permits span the second four-day weekend after Labor Day. Check the list of winners, here. And a heads up: The NPS also reports that it was unable to automatically receive permit fees from a handful of people who entered the lottery online and by phone, so if you entered that way and won, it might be worth confirming payment.
