A first: Bethel's Meyers Farm exports produce to Anchorage

According to KYUK-FM (via APRN), Meyers Farm in Bethel has sent a shipment of cabbages to the Anchorage grocery Natural Pantry. The farm has been producing fresh, organically grown veggies for Bethel customers for years now, and recently started sending shipments to surrounding villages in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. But the shipment of those surplus cabbages to Anchorage likely marks the first-ever produce export from the region, and it's causing Tim Meyers to look at the long-term future of his farm from a different angle.
