Heather Poole (@Heather_Poole) posted a picture of the note along with her tweet "Hilarious AND SCARY!....How maint tells pax they're aware of chip on ...

Spokeswoman Bobbie Egan told the Sacramento Bee on Tuesday that the damage was an approved trim repair to the corner flap on the right wing. The note was scribbled by a maintenance technician to let the flight crew know that they were aware of the damage.

The note was promptly removed, and the Seattle-based airline apologized for any alarm the note may have caused passengers.
