Military member, family? Then Alyeska is free for you on Monday.

Jan. 7 marks the second "Military Monday" of the season at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska, according to the ski and snowboard destination's blog.

"Military Monday" is Alyeska's tribute to members of the Armed Forces and their immediate families members. Lift tickets are free and rentals (excluding demos) are 50 percent off for those that can provide a valid military ID.

Deals on room rates at the Resort will also be available, as will lunch specials at both the Sitzmark, located slope-side at the base of the Bearcub Quad and Chair 1, and the Glacier Express at the top of the mountain.

"Military Monday" will begin with the mountain's open at 10:30 a.m. and extends throughout the day until the mountain closes at 5: 30 p.m. For additional information call 907-754-2275 or read more.
