Tattoo-clad Chalmers, and not, as some of you may be hoping, former half-term First Dude Todd Palin, is featured as Alaska's representative in People's "United States of Sexy" section, which collects men "who represent hotness from every corner of the country." Chalmer's pictured in action in his Miami road uniform, basketball in hand. Pretty sexy.
The 26-year-old NBA Champion played high school ball at Bartlett High in Anchorage. He led the Golden Bears to two state championships in 2002 and 2003 before leading the University of Kansas to an NCAA national title and winning the NBA crown this spring with Miami.
Chalmers fits into People's sexy U.S. men round-up nicely sandwiched in between Alabama's Hollywood beefcake, Channing Tatum, and Arizona's country music star, Dierks Bentley.
People Magazine writes:
He now plays in tropical South Beach, but the Miami Heat point guard has the distinction of being only the third player to enter the NBA from Alaska. "A lot of people say there's nothing in Alaska but snow and ice," the Anchorage native told The Miami Herald. "So, being from Alaska, being that guy, I just want to [disprove] it."
