Ron Paul Alaska 'welcomes key endorsement from Mrs. Joe Miller'

Kathleen Miller, the wife of unsuccessful Alaska Republican U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller, has endorsed U.S. Congressman Ron Paul for the GOP presidential nomination, according to a press release posted at Ron Paul's national campaign website.

The release hints that Kathleen's statement of support is a synecdochic proxy endorsement, necessary because "organizational affiliations" prevent Joe Miller himself from throwing public support to Paul. Such affiliations are likely related to Miller's ongoing work with various political action committees.

The release touts Kathleen Miller's husband's positives, including his 2010 primary victory over incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski, his military service record and education, but it reserves all mention of Mrs. Miller's background.

Alaska will vote to distribute its delegates to candidates in the Republican presidential primary on Super Tuesday, March 6th. Paul has been campaigning to enthusiastic crowds in Alaska, and is the only candidate to set foot in the state in the run-up to this year's vote.
