Wasilla-based caterers say goodbye to Food Network competition

Alaska won't be getting another food truck anytime soon, at least not from Momma's Grizzly Grub, the Wasilla-based catering company that was eliminated from "The Great Food Truck Race" Sunday night.

The group -- comprised of Angela Richards, Adriane Richey and Tiffany Seth -- was the fourth team eliminated from the Food Network competition being played out city-by-city across the country. The elimination means the group won't be taking home the grand prize: a brand-new, decked out food truck.

Apparently it all came down to "location, location, location" Richards told the Food Network blog FN Dish. The team's plan for the contest in Nashville was squashed when they had to cater a picnic in nearby Pottsville, Tenn. Because of that, Richards said the team never found its "sweet spot."

"We were definitely contenders, but even contenders can get tripped up by the game," Richards told the blog.

So will there ever be a food truck in Wasilla? Don't rule it out, Richards said. With support from family and friends, the group hopes to "roll out" a truck next spring.
