A collision near Potter Marsh involving four vehicles temporarily closed the Seward Highway in both directions for over an hour Sunday afternoon.
The four-car collision was first reported to police at 1:58 p.m., said Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman Renee Oistad. It happened near the truck scales along the highway south of Potter Marsh, she said.
At least one person was injured in the crash; they were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police were notified that the highway was shut in both directions at 2:08 p.m., Oistad said.
The road reopened shortly before 4 p.m.
