Troopers: Teen in custody for woman's death near Willow

WASILLA — Alaska State Troopers say a 41-year-old woman was the victim of a homicide in her home near Willow and they have a 14-year-old male in custody.

Troopers received a report of a death at a residence in the Caswell subdivision north of Willow at 7:20 a.m. Sunday, according to an online dispatch posted Monday morning. They found Elizabeth Foster dead at the scene.

The death is being investigated as a homicide, troopers said. The 14-year-old, who was not named, was remanded to the Division of Juvenile Justice.

Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters declined to answer additional questions about the incident because the suspect is a juvenile and entitled to additional protections not granted to an adult.
