Body found at Kincaid Park; 'does not appear suspicious,' police say

Anchorage police say they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body at Kincaid Park Sunday, but the death "does not appear suspicious at this time," according to a police statement.

Police vehicles were parked south of the Kincaid Chalet near the Coastal Trail starting at around 11:30 a.m. Sunday, but police did not say where in the 1,500-acre park the body was discovered, or how it was found.

Anchorage Police Department representatives were not available to answer questions Sunday.
