Anchorage man dies in head-on crash near Eureka on Glenn Highway

A 67-year-old Anchorage man died Thursday in a head-on collision on the Glenn Highway near Eureka, said Alaska State Troopers.

Cesar Lao-Ing was driving southbound near Mile 122 in his Ford pickup when he crossed the center line into the oncoming lane and collided with a Winnebago motor home. William and Linda Briggs, of Donna, Texas, were riding in the motor home, troopers said.

Responders pronounced Lao-Ing dead at the scene. The Briggses were flown to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. William Briggs, 69, suffered serious but not life threatening injuries. Linda Briggs had minor injuries, troopers said.

Troopers said all three people wore seat belts.
