Prosecutors in Anchorage say a former Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson soldier pleaded guilty Monday to raping two women and assaulting another here in 2013.
Tony Bullock, 27, has pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree sexual assault and a single count of fourth-degree assault, according to the Alaska Department of Law.
The Anchorage Police Department started an investigation into two similar sex assaults in July 2013.
Two women told police they were followed by a stranger as they walked down the street. One of the women was walking in Mountain View at about 4:20 a.m. July 16, 2013, and the other walking in the neighborhood around 6:30 p.m. the next day, police said at that time.
In both cases, the man pointed a handgun at the women and sexually assaulted them, "leaving biological evidence behind," prosecutors said.

An officer made contact with Bullock in north Mountain View a few days after the initial reports but he did not make an arrest, prosecutors said.
Bullock was not arrested until Aug. 11. A woman told police a man tried to sexually assault her. She said he punched her in the face and demanded oral sex, according to the charges. She was able to flee and call 911 and provide the suspect's license plate number.
The license plate was registered to Bullock, and following an interrogation, investigators used DNA he provided to link him to the two rapes, the charges say.
The Army identified Bullock as a member of the 2nd Engineer Brigade whose work focused on small arms repair. He is originally from Virginia and came to Alaska from Fort Lee, Virginia.
Bullock faces 27 to 70 years in prison, prosecutors said. He has been in custody since his arrest about three years ago.
Sentencing is set for Dec. 16.
