A 59-year-old Wasilla man died early Saturday when his pickup truck crashed, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Troopers said in a dispatch that Ronald Weller was declared dead shortly after troopers and medics responded around 12:15 a.m. Saturday to the wreck on Lewis Loop.
"Scene investigation revealed Weller's vehicle, a 2000 Ford F-150, left the roadway multiple times at a high rate (of speed) and hit multiple trees," troopers wrote. "Weller was not wearing a seat belt."
Weller's next of kin were notified, and the State Medical Examiner Office took custody of the body for an autopsy.
