Woman seriously burned in Willow home fire

A 46-year-old Willow woman was seriously burned in a house fire Saturday, the Alaska State Troopers said.

Troopers, local firefighters and emergency responders were called to a home on South Bendapole Road in the Caswell Lakes Subdivision at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday for a structure fire, troopers wrote in an online dispatch Sunday.

A woman was airlifted to Anchorage with serious burns. Troopers did not release her name.

The home was a loss, according to the dispatch. Firefighters were able to "contain the fire from spreading into the densely wooded area" around the house.

The dispatch did not say whether the cause of the fire had been determined.
