In-laws in town? Kids at summer camp? Need a little getaway? The Alaska Railroad wants Alaskans to climb aboard for a roundtrip ride and an open-water cruise.
What are they prepared to offer as a reward for being an Alaskan? In conjunction with Major Marine Tours, the railroad has a special for residents this summer. All you have to do is book a spot by July 15.
The package includes a round-trip train ticket from Anchorage to Seward or Whittier coupled with a Major Marine cruise. You can choose from an Anchorage-to-Whittier Rail & Blackstone Glacier Cruise (through Aug. 9) or an Anchorage to Seward Rail & Resurrection Bay Cruse (until Aug. 16).
