Hickel on Palin: 'we've got to replace her'

We interviewed former Alaska Governor Wally Hickel two weeks before Gov. Sarah Palin was chosen as John McCain's vice presidential running mate. Hickel, 89, got upset when Palin's name came up in our interview. "I made her governor," Hickel told us Aug. 14, "but when she did that deal with the Canadians, I wrote her a letter and I told her, 'I'm never going to support you again.' Now we've got to replace her."
