Full UAA team heads to nationals

For the first time, a full UAA ski team has qualified to compete at the NCAA Championships, following the Seawolves' performance at the RMISA Championships/NCAA West Regional on Saturday in Truckee, Calif. After spending the first two days of the competition in sixth place, the Seawolves moved up to fifth with their results in Saturday's freestyle cross-country race.

Senior Raphael Wunderle claimed seventh place for the Seawolves, finishing the men's 15-kilometer race in 36 minutes, 18.4 seconds.

Freshman Laura Rombach was 13th for the women, completing the 10-K freestyle in 30:57.8.

Twelve UAA skiers will compete at the NCAA Championships March 11-14 in Maine.
