JUNEAU -- The Alaska Senate passed the $1.8 billion capital budget on Saturday, according to a release from the bipartisan Senate majority.
The bill includes money for public works, transportation and capital projects and includes $248 million in federal stimulus dollars.
The Senate's version funds $26 million in work on the Dalton Highway, $42 million in school maintenance, $20 million for the Port of Anchorage, $17.5 million for the Kodiak rocket launch facility and $25 million for the Renewable Energy Grant Fund, among other projects.
The budget now moves to the House of Representatives for consideration.
