Election of mayor is certified by Assembly

The Anchorage Assembly has certified the May 5 mayoral runoff election, won by Dan Sullivan with 31,194 votes, 56.7 percent of the total.

His opponent, Eric Croft, received 23,812 votes and 43.3 percent of the total, according to the final numbers certified by the Assembly at a special meeting on Monday.

According to the municipal clerk's office, turnout for the election was just under 28 percent of voters.
