-- The Glacier Pilots grabbed control of the lead by pounding the Miners 9-1 Sunday afternoon, sending Mat-Su to its fourth straight loss. Pilots pitcher Logan Downell struck out three and gave up a pair of hits in five innings for the win, while Trevor Hairgrove sparked a potent offense with three hits and a pair of runs.

-- The Anchorage Bucs scored all their runs in the sixth inning in a 5-3 win over AIA in the first game of a doubleheader in Fairbanks. Eddie Young and Brian Bello provided the firepower with a two-run double and solo homer,

respectively, whilestarter Mark Joukoff struck out five in five innings for the win. The home run was the fourth of the season for Bello.

-- Chad Smith's wild pitch scored the winning run in the top of the ninth inning for the Fairbanks Goldpanners, who rallied to beat the Oilers 3-2 in Kenai. Fairbanks recorded the game-winner when Jordan LeGros scored with one out in the ninth. Brennan Gowans was thrown out at the plate trying to score on the same play, but one run was all the Panners needed. LeGros also picked up the pitching win for 1 1/3 innings of work.
