UAA men add high-scoring JC standout

Forward Ryan Parker signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Seawolves, coach Rusty Osborne announced Wednesday.

The 6-7, 230-pounder averaged 14.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game in his sophomore season at Sierra College in Rocklin, Calif. Parker was the sixth-leading scorer in the Big 8 Conference and had six games with 20 or more points.

The Sacramento native spent his freshman season at Division I Alabama A&M, where he averaged 1.1 points and 1.1 rebounds per game.

"I think his tenacity on the court and his friendly demeanor will make him a fan favorite the next two years," Osborne said in a press release.

Parker is the fifth recruit to sign with UAA, joining freshman guard Bryce Arnott, sophomore center Malcolm Campbell and junior guards Donnie Lao and Drew Robinson.
