-- The Mat-Su Miners scored a pair of unearned runs in the third inning to beat the Pilots 2-0 in a seven-inning game, maintaining their grip on the ABL lead. The game was the first in a tripleheader at Mulcahy Stadium set up by Saturday night's rainout of a game between the Miners and Bucs. The Pilots-Miners game was followed by the rescheduled Miners-Bucs games, which was followed by the already scheduled Bucs-Goldpanners game.
-- The annual Mayor's Cup series between the Bucs and Pilots kicks off tonight at Mulcahy Stadium. The best-of-three series continues with games Tuesday and Wednesday.
