Four charged with trail robberies

Four teens have been charged with robbery in connection with a series of attacks along Chester Creek trail late last week, police said Monday. Three 15-year-olds and one 17-year-old were charged with second-degree robbery and sent to McLaughlin Youth Center, according to police. Because of their ages, the youths' names were not released.

The four are accused of prowling the trail between the Valley of the Moon Park area and the Sullivan Arena and beating and robbing people who crossed their paths.

Four adults ranging in age from 20 to 60 were attacked in the series of assaults that lasted just about a half hour, police said. At least one man reported his wallet had been stolen and another reported an iPod taken, police said.
