PALMER -- Two people have been charged in connection with the death of Jeremy Ewing, the son of Matanuska-Susitna Borough Assemblyman Mark Ewing, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Jerome Capps and Dana Sanders, both 33, are each facing a charge of criminally negligent homicide, two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree burglary and a count of second-degree theft.
Ewing died Aug. 29 in what appeared to be a botched home invasion. Troopers say he had broken into a home and was shot during a struggle.
Both defendants are in custody and are scheduled for trial in November.
