Dillingham and Bethel are locked in a tight battle for the Class 1-2-3A state wrestling title at Bartlett, with Dillingham holding a 154-113 advantage heading into today's action.

Dillingham advanced a tournament-high six wrestlers into today's finals to just two for Bethel, but Bethel still has 15 wrestlers alive in the consolation round -- compared to just two for the Wolverines.

Every top seed in the tournament advanced to today's championship round.

As in Class 4A, the day's biggest surprise came in the heavyweight division, where unseeded Henry Eide of Nikiski put together three pins -- including two over seeded wrestlers -- to advance to the finals. Eide will face top-seeded Jaylin Prince of Mt. Edgecumbe for the state championship.
