Steer nips Anderson at Quest finish line

Sheep Mountain musher Zach Steer held off Ken Anderson of Fox by three minutes after 1,000 miles of mushing to secure fourth place early Tuesday morning in the record-setting Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race. Steer finished at 3:58 a.m. to earn $13,380 -- or $1,620 more than he would have earned if he'd finished four minutes slower.

Three hours later, young Joshua Cadzow of Fort Yukon crossed the finish line in seventh place to earn rookie-of-the year honors.
