Rosey's new prize
Four days before the four-year anniversary of her bronze-medal-winning performance at the 2006 Winter Olympics, Anchorage's Rosey Fletcher delivered again.
Rosey and husband Peter Grunwaldt welcomed Oskar John Grunwaldt at 6:59 a.m. Friday at Alaska Regional Hospital. The baby weighed in at eight pounds, sporting lots of hair, according to proud aunt Sarah Grunwaldt.
On Feb. 23, 2006, Fletcher claimed the bronze medal in the women's parallel giant slalom snowboard race in Turin, Italy. A three-time Olympian, she retired at the end of that season.
Oskar John is the couple's first child.
