Birch Horton Bittner & Cherot has announced that Aaron Sperbeck recently joined the firm as an associate attorney. Sperbeck's practice emphasizes corporate and commercial litigation and construction law. Sperbeck is a former district attorney and conducted numerous trials throughout Alaska, as well as administrative board and appeal hearings. As a district attorney, he specialized in the prosecution of computer-facilitated high technology crime and received a Letter of Recognition from the Anchorage Police Department honoring his work.

Geoffrey S. Willis, an administrative assistant with Business Insurance Associates Inc., has successfully passed the Alaska insurance licensing exam and is now a licensed property and casualty broker. Willis, the sixth licensed broker with the firm, will expand his role as administrative assistant while continuing to provide support for client relations. Business Insurance Associates Inc. is an independent commercial insurance and surety brokerage located in midtown Anchorage.
