AROUND THE HORN
• The Fairbanks Goldpanners beat the Mat-Su Miners 9-4 at Growden Memorial Park in Fairbanks on Tuesday.
The Goldpanners' Jesse Sikorski went 3 for 4, scored twice and drove in a run. Simon Kudernatsch furnished two RBIs.
Ryan Cabral won, pitching five innings and striking out three.
The win pushed the Goldpanners into a first-place tie with the Miners.
• The Anchorage Bucs and Peninsula Oilers were rained out in Kenai on Tuesday. There is no scheduled make-up date.
• The Anchorage Glacier Pilots and Athletes in Action Fire were rained out in Anchorage on Tuesday. The game will be made up Thursday at noon.
