Dimond blanks Chugiak in boys hockey

Austin Arnold and Lucas Dubie each contributed a goal and an assist to Dimond's 5-0 win over Chugiak on Tuesday in a Cook Inlet Conference hockey game at the McDonald Center in Eagle River. Dimond outshot Chugiak 31-18, scoring two goals in each of the first two periods and one in the third. Daniel Roberts scored Dimond's first goal at the 14-second mark. Arnold notched the final goal with less than three minutes remaining.

Dimond's Thomas Davis made 18 saves.

South 1, Service 0

Zach Aregood scored less than a minute into the game and it was all South needed for a 1-0 CIC win over Service on Tuesday at Ben Boeke Arena.

South goalie Trevor Gutierrez stopped 18 shots, nine in the first period. Service goalie Chase Crabb made 25 saves.

West 2, Bartlett 1

A third-period goal from Max Osgood lifted West to a 2-1 win Tuesday over Bartlett in a CIC boys hockey game at the McDonald Center.

West's Gio Barth and Ilya Turchaninov earned assists on the game-winning goal. Barth also gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead with a goal near the end of the second period.

Bartlett's Tyler King tied it at 1-1 in the opening minute of the third period. The Golden Bears were outshot 38-17, and Darien Dahl earned the win in goal for the Eagles.
