Dimond girls beat Service 75-22 in basketball

Dimond's Sierra Afoa scored 21 points, grabbed five rebounds and made five steals Tuesday night to lead the Lynx to a 75-22 Cook Inlet Conference girls basketball home win over Service.

Afoa hit eight of 13 field goals and all five of her free throws, and Dimond dominated early, jumping to a 49-11 halftime lead.

The Lynx also received a strong game from Keiahnna Engel, who added 14 points, five assists and three steals. The Lynx made 28 steals as a team, forcing 41 Service turnovers.

Jordynn Ramirez led the Lynx in rebounds with eight and also scored 11 points.

Bartlett 63, Eagle River 10

Bobbi Britt scored 23 points and grabbed 16 rebounds Tuesday to lead Bartlett to a 63-10 CIC home win over Eagle River.

Bartlett's Destiny Little matched Britt's 16 rebounds and blocked seven shots. Tiara Turner added 12 points, hitting five of six shots in the first half. Britt took over in the second quarter, scoring 12 points.

Bartlett raced to a 34-6 halftime lead, allowing the Golden Bears starters to rest for most of the second half.
