10 Seawolves post 4.0 averages

UAA's intercollegiate athletes posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.12 for the 2010 calendar year, with 141 of them -- 64 percent -- achieving a 3.0 or better on a scale of 4.0. Among the school's 11 teams, the women's ski squad led the way with a team GPA of 3.72.

Ten Seawolves earned 4.0s for the recently concluded fall semester -- Ida Bjerka (women's skiing), Marie Borowikow (volleyball), Jaime Bronga (women's skiing/cross country), Gabriel Holland (men's track and field), Laura Rombach (women's skiing), Max Treinen (men's skiing), Kelsey Fullerton (women's gymnastics), Liam Gibcus (men's basketball), Sandra MacDonald (women's skiing) and Drew Robinson (men's basketball).
