Registration and bib pickup for Sunday's Ski for Women is going on now at REI and continues through 7:30 tonight.
It's the last chance to sign up for the timed events in the Super Bowl of women's skiing, held annually at Kincaid Park on Super Bowl Sunday.
More than a thousand girls and women -- 1,057 to be exact -- signed up online. More signed up Thursday at REI and more are signing up today at REI.
Day-of-race registration begins at 9 a.m. Sunday at Kincaid, but if you wait till the last minute, you can only enter the 12:30 p.m. party-wave event, which is untimed. The timed events begin at 10:30 a.m.
The race is fund raiser. Donations are accepted in lieu of entry fees; the suggested donation is $25.
