Seawolves set three school records on the track

Led by two victories apiece from David Registe and Haleigh Lloyd, the UAA track and field team set three school records Saturday at the Willamette Invitational in Salem, Ore.

Registe won the men's 100-meter race in 10.68 seconds, breaking his own record by .01 seconds. He also won the 200 meters in 21.91.

Lloyd set a school record when she won the women's 100-meter hurdles in 14.54 seconds, besting her own time of 14.62. Lloyd also took first in the 400-meter hurdles (1:01.18), an event she already holds the school record in at 1:00.96.

The third broken record of the day was a team effort, going to the women's 4x400-meter relay team of Sasha Halfyard, Ivy O'Guinn, Susan Bick and Lloyd. The foursome finished in 3:56.18, besting the previous record of 3:58.03.

The men's 4x100-meter relay team of Ethan Hewitt, Levi Sutton Brad Truax and Shaun Ward also got a win, finishing with a season-best time of 41.91, and Gabe Holland took first in the discus with a toss of 160 feet, 07 inches.

Holland also set a season best in the shot put (41-11.25) to go with season bests from Travis Wilson in the men's 110-meter hurdles (15.85) and Bick in the women's 400-meter race (58.88).
