South 3, Eagle River 0 in boys soccer

Grant Warnke scored the first goal and assisted on the last, sparking South's 3-0 Cook Inlet Conference boys soccer victory over host Eagle River on Monday. Andrew Hornak scored off a Trent Sanders assist to give South a 2-0 halftime. Zak Naylor provided the final goal with an assist from Warnke. Kirby Hutto notched the assist on Warnke's goal and goalkeeper Griffin Toomey got the shutout.

Chugiak, 3 East 0

After a scoreless first half, Chugiak caught fire in the second half, reeling off three goals and robbing East of a goal with Dare Hedum's goalline clear to claim a 3-0 Cook Inlet Conference boys soccer victory at Chugiak's Tom Huffer Sr. Stadium.

Brad Fussner, Shane Toph and Brandon Boyer supplied goals for the Mustangs (6-2-1). Goalkeeper Clayton Bush came up with a big save in the first half before tagging off at halftime to Josh Smith, who preserved the shutout.
