Eagle River 6, Bartlett 2 in boys soccer

Eagle River's Ben Russell scored three goals and added an assist Friday, and the Wolves earned a 6-2 home win over Bartlett in a Cook Inlet Conference soccer match.

Josh Oberlander scored Eagle River's first goal on an assist from Josh Robles, who scored the Wolves' second goal on an assist from Russell. Micai Hulse put the Wolves ahead 3-0 on an assist from D.J. Ramey, and Russell scored the Wolves' last three goals.

Both of Bartlett's goals came midway through the second half.

Grace 3, Kenai 0

The Grace Christian boys soccer team remained undefeated Friday, earning a 3-0 Northern Lights Conference win over Kenai at Anchorage Football Stadium.

Jordan Edwards opened the scoring in the first half, with John Weber and Josh Thomas each adding goals in the second half. Grace improved to 9-0-1.

West 1, East 0

An early goal from Fatos Redzepi was all the West boys soccer team needed to secure a 1-0 CIC victory over East at AFS on Friday.

Redzepi struck in the fifth minute, beating three defenders and finding the goal from 25 yards out. Jacob Dezarn got the shutout.

"We controlled the game from the first whistle," said West coach Laef Eggan. "It was a really good team effort."
