Service 12, East 7 in high school baseball

Ryan Caron threw four scoreless innings in relief for Service, helping the Cougars overcome a six-run hole in a 12-7 win over East in Cook Inlet Conference baseball game at Kosinski Fields on Friday. The Cougars trailed 7-1 in the fourth inning, but started chipping away with one run in the fourth, three in the fifth and three in the sixth. Jake Ridley drove in the go-ahead run on a triple in the sixth inning, giving the Cougars an 8-7 lead. Service closed the game with four runs in the seventh.

Ridley finished with three hits, two RBIs and three runs scored. Zach Ferntheil went 3 for 5, scored three runs and racked two RBIs.
