Bristol Palin admits to 'corrective jaw surgery'

For about a week now, there has been quite a bit of entertainment buzz about how Bristol Palin doesn't look like her old self anymore, and plastic surgery was at the front of the rumor pack. Palin said nothing, but today comes news in an online teaser for the print edition of Us magazine that she confirmed some of the rumor. Palin says she did in fact have surgery (in December) and that it did improve her appearance. "I look older, more mature and don't have as much of a chubby little baby face," she told the magazine. But, she said would never consider having purely cosmetic surgery unless she were "in an accident or something terrible and got disfigured," she said. The procedure, Palin tells the magazine, was "necessary for medical reasons" to correct an overbite. Read more from Us magazine, here, and The Associated Press (via The Washington Post). And in case you haven't seen it yet, on May 4 Gawker published the most extensive photo gallery of before-and-after Bristol Palin photos.
