-- Second baseman Jake Valdez accounted for both RBIs as the Anchorage Bucs defeated the Oceanside Waves 2-1 on Monday night at Mulcahy Stadium.

In a non-league game taking barely more than two hours, Braden Shipley (1-2) picked up the piching win for the Bucs while David Johnson absorbed the loss. Valdez leads the Bucs with seven RBIs on the young season.

-- Left-hander Logan McAnallen, a freshman at the University of Michigan, hurled a no-hitter for the Lake Erie Monarchs on Sunday at Palmer, beating the Mat-Su Miners 2-0.

Mat-Su's Jeff Gonzalez alowed only two hits in taking the loss.

-- The Anchorage Glacier Pilots will honor the Alaska Aces prior to tonight's 7 p.m. non-league game against the Anchorage Bucs. The Kelly Cup, emblematic of the ECHL ice hockey league's championship won by the Aces last month, will be on display by several players in attendance.
