Eagle River 3, Chugiak 2

Eagle River handed visiting Chugiak its first Cook Inlet Conference volleyball loss of the season Tuesday, taking down the Mustangs 25-23, 14-25, 55-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Lexi Curtis powered the Wolves offense with nine kills, Morgen Wohrle drilled six and Tess Anderson hit for five. Kathy Michalski's five blocks led the defensive front, aided by Kelsey Reeves' 21 digs.

South 3, Bartlett 0

Shelby Stoner racked seven kills and six blocks Tuesday, powering South to a 25-5, 25-4, 25-13 Cook Inlet Conference home volleyball win over Bartlett.

Katelyn Zanders added six kills and four blocks for the Wolverines, with Morgan Hooe contributing 19 assists and four aces.

Grace 3, Houston 0

Heather Green's 10 kills helped propel Grace Christian to a 25-16, 25-11, 25-22 nonconference volleyball win over host Houston on Tuesday.

Grace's Nicole Weisenfelder provided 15 assists, 11 digs and three kills, and Brooke Leadbetter came up with 11 digs. Brandi Caylor chipped in three kills to help Grace improve to 4-2.

West 3, Service 2

The West volleyball team took an early lead and hung on to earn a 25-13, 25-15, 19-25, 20-25, 15-9 road victory Tuesday in a CIC volleyball match at Service.

Service's Morgan Christy notched seven blocks to go with three kills, and Katie Cahalane scored two aces and eight digs for the Cougars.
