The Alaska Aces have straight-up lost just one ECHL hockey game in that two months-plus, which is why they currently own several streaks that add up to their league-leading success.
In losing in regulation once since Nov. 12, and earning points in 26 of their last 27 games, the Aces have gone 21-1-5.
They have won nine straight games overall.
They have won 10 straight home games at Sullivan Arena.
They have gone 13 straight games without a regulation loss (10-0-3).
And they have gone 11 straight road games without a regulation loss (6-0-5).
At 29-5-5 overall heading into a two-game series starting Friday night against visiting Idaho, the defending Kelly Cup champs own an 11-point bulge over the Las Vegas Wranglers for the league lead.
Through 39 games, the Aces' goal-differential is a league-leading plus-57, more than doubling the next-best mark in the league, Las Vegas' plus-27.
The Aces' sizzling first half has also pushed them to No. 1 all-time in ECHL regular-season winning percentage at .665.
Alaska's winning percentage this season is .808. No other club on the 20-team circuit owns a winning percentage in the .700s.
