Johnson's 5 goals highlight Service's 14-0 win

Service's Greg Johnson scored five goals and Andrew Cummings dished five assists Tuesday, leading the Cougars to a 14-0 Cook Inlet Conference hockey win over Bartlett at Ben Boeke Arena.

Cummings earned an assist on Johnson's first goal, which opened scoring with 7:13 left in the first period. Johnson notched the team's fifth goal on another assist from Cummings with 44 seconds left in the opening frame, and then Cummings fed Johnson for the first two of seven second-period goals.

South 6, Chugiak 0

Daniel Sandstra and Steven Orizotti each scored twice for the South boys hockey team Tuesday, leading the Wolverines to a 6-0 shutout of Chugiak in a CIC game at the McDonald Center.

South's Gage Mackie scored the game's first goal on assists from Sandstra and Quest Bain in the first period. Sandstra put South up 2-0 late in the second period, and Gavin Lubin made it 3-0 less than a minute later. Orizotti scored both of his goals in the third period, sandwiched around Sandstra's second. South goalie Nathan Wright stopped eight shots.
