West 6, Bartlett 0

West's Alexandra Rojas-Ayala scored twice Wednesday, and the Eagles cruised to a 6-0 win over Bartlett in a Cook Inlet Conference girls soccer match at The Dome.

West's Carla Hanley opened scoring on an assist from Alex Susich, and Rojas-Ayala extended the West lead to 2-0. Chrysa Johnson, Rowan Kraft and Morgan Heppner added goals for the Eagles.

Wasilla 3, Palmer 0

Wasilla freshman Alexa Starr notched two goals and an assist in Wednesday's 3-0 girls soccer victory over Palmer at The Dome.

Josie Fletcher gave Wasilla a 1-0 lead about 15 minutes into the second half, and Wasilla goalie Crystal Branson earned a shutout.

Powell 20th in Oregon

In the Alyeska Ski Club's final event of the season, Sarah Powell finished 20th on Monday and 21st on Tuesday in a pair of women's downhill races, leading Alaskans in the Western Region Elite Speed Series at Mt. Bachelor, Ore.

Women's downhill No. 1 -- 1) Jaqueline Wiles (White Pass), 1:15.39. Alaskans: 21) Sarah Powell, 1:21.16; 23) Aspen Sulte, 1:21.44; 30) Sydney Henegan, 1:23.38.

Women's downhill No. 2 -- 1) Jaqueline Wiles (White Pass,) 1:15.56. Alaskans: 20) Sarah Powell, 1:21.23; 26) Sydney Henegan, 1:22.84.

Men's downhill No. 1 -- 1) Bryce Bennett (U.S. Ski Team), 1:12.65. Alaskans: 55) Kevin Kelly, 1:17.03; 71) Nicholas Crews, 1:18.84.

Men's downhill No. 2 -- 1) Bryce Bennet (U.S. Ski Team), 1:13.57. Alaskans: 64) Kevin Kelly, 1.19.75; 72) Nicholas Crews, 1:21.62.
