It's time to take studded tires off your car or truck -- Tuesday is the deadline.
Within the Municipality of Anchorage, violators face $30 fine per tire, which adds up to $120 for a regular vehicle.
That's a city law.
Under state law, those driving with studded tires after the deadline can be issued a $50-per-vehicle fine that can be forgiven if they show they have removed the tires, said an Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman.
