Adventure Smart Program, 1-3 p.m., Eagle River Nature Center, 32750 Eagle River Road. Ten registered junior explorers in grades 1-6, accompanied by an adult, can learn how to use maps and compasses, then takes a 1-2 mile walk for some backcountry practice. Early Morning Bird Walk, 6:30-8:30 a.m., BLM Campbell Creek Science Center, 5600 Science Center Drive. Develop and fine-tune your birding skills and witness the progression of songbird migration through the Campbell Tract. Moose-Goose-N-Mosquito Open Outdoor Steel-Tip Dart Tournament, 7:30 p.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Tug Bar, Mile 18.5 Knik Goose Bay Road. All events are Jack and Jill blind draw doubles; the modified round robin format will be determined on site to accommodate the number of teams. $10 per person, per event.
