State pushes to discriminate

Discrimination is alive and well. Yesterday the State of Alaska filed a brief in U.S. Court alleging that the Voter Protection Act is unconstitutional and specifically unconstitutional as applied to Alaska. The Voter Protection Act prevents states from enacting discriminatory voting laws. In the brief, the state defends its use of literacy tests against Native Alaskans. This is a full frontal attack against Natives.
